How it works

Create
Pick a class, background and species, then roll or buy your ability scores. Up to 5 adventurers at once.

Your hero fights, rests and pushes deeper on their own: every floor is tougher and holds better treasure.

Return and choose
Check in when you like. Pick feats and subclasses, equip new magic items, and send them back down.
Start on your laptop. Check in from your phone.

- Your saves stay on each device, so offline play keeps working.
- Progress syncs in the background whenever you’re online.
- If two devices both played, you choose which save to keep. Nothing is silently lost.

Is it really free?
Yes. No ads, no purchases, no energy timers. It’s a fan project built on openly licensed rules.
Do I need an account?
No. Your adventurers are saved on your device. Sign in only if you want to continue them on another device, like your phone and your laptop.
Is this Dungeons & Dragons?
It uses the System Reference Document 5.2, the open version of the 5th edition rules, released by Wizards of the Coast under Creative Commons (CC BY 4.0). My Idle RPG isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once loaded it runs entirely on your device, and it can be installed to your home screen or desktop. Signed-in players sync the next time they’re online.
What happens to my saves if I clear my browser data?
Without an account, saves live in your browser, so clearing site data deletes them. Sign in to keep a copy in the cloud, or use Export in a game’s settings to back up a save as text.
